The KMC X12 chain is a durable and versatile chain that is rugged enough for a mountain bike, and light enough to not weigh a road bike down. The double X-bridge shaping of the plates in addition to extensive chamfering of the edges of the plates help this chain to mesh better and more quickly to gear teeth, resulting in a much better shifting quality. A special heat treatment and solid, mushroom riveted pins resist wear and chain stretch, resulting in a long lasting chain. Last but not least, these chains are non-directional and are compatible with 12 speed drivetrains from Campagnolo, Shimano, and SRAM.
