A topographic map of the Boise Foothills. Extent of the map includes Bogus Basin Ski Resort to the North, Table Rock and the Boise Bench to the south, and Avimor to the west. The map also includes all reserves and trails in the foothills, and major landforms are labeled.
All AA Topo maps are created from scratch in Boise, Idaho. "From scratch" means the data is gathered from original sources and brought into a mapping program, where the cartography happens. Layers and layers of data are transformed into meaningful representations of a landscape - with special attention given to color. The Artist's hope is that each map evokes the feeling of being in that place.
