The Splitter is made of two separate titanium utensils, a spatula and a long spork, that become tongs when joined together. The joining mechanism is a small stainless-steel pin that is fixed to the handle-end of the spatula. When this pin is inserted into the keyhole slot found at the end of the spork handle, the two become the gripping mechanism of the tongs. Once formed, the tongs need only the natural flexibility of the titanium to operate with perfect grip force. Both the spatula and spork make perfectly useful outdoor cooking utensils on their own as well. The spatula features a chamfered edge for easy scooping, as well as a serrated corner for cutting into and checking on food while it is still cooking. The long spork is perfect for getting into deep food packets and can be used as both an eating and serving utensil.
